The Green Homes Grant Scheme

Homeowners across England will receive vouchers upto £5000 – £10,000 to make energy saving improvements to their properties.

This Green Homes Grant Scheme is part of a £3billion green package to create jobs, upgrade buildings and protect the environment. This has been put into action as part of the efforts to build the economy after Covid-19.

How will the vouchers work?

The vouchers under the Green Homes Grant scheme will see households receive upto £5,000 – £10,000 to pay for such measures as insulation, low energy lighting, double glazing and energy efficient doors. Other measures will be updated as we know more.

Low income households could see as much as £10,000 and will cover the costs of renovations in full, saving families over £600 a year on energy bills.

This will also help achieve the carbon targets set for 2050.

It is likely that the insulation works will have to be conducted and completed by a regulated company such as a certified, fully accredited and qualified installer. More information will be added to this page once we understand more.

Heat loss from a room occurs in two ways

1. By ventilation
2. Through fabric (walls, floor, ceiling and windows)

Installing Solid Wall Insulation requires high levels of expertise and knowledge.

Solid Wall Insulation should always involve the use of a fully accredited system designer, certified system installer & Local Authority Building Regulations Approval

Each system typically consists of a layer of insulation; this is fixed to the substrate by adhesive and / or mechanical fixings, a render coat with an embedded reinforcing mesh, followed by a decorative render finish coat.

External Wall Insulation will improve your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.

This can be smooth, textured, pebble dashed or brick effect / brick slips, depending on the customer’s choice of finish & Local Planning Restrictions.

Terms & Conditions apply. To qualify for the full amount of Grant, the whole property needs to be insulated. If half of your property is insulated, then you will qualify for half of the External Wall Insulation Grant. The offer includes a standard choice of colours only.
